JADED
When you think of Sunday mornings what do you think of? Preparing Sunday lunch? Nursing your hangover in front of Hollyoaks? Sleeping? No more.Sunday mornings at AKA are now for Jaded.
The legendary after-hours club, that helped kick start what is now a vibrant Sunday morning party scene in London, has arrived. A shade apart from the typical afterparty, Jaded creates its unique atmosphere by welcoming a little bit of everyone into their wonderful, if slightly unhinged, world. People are just as likely to stay in the night before and come clubbing straight after a bowl of cornflakes as they are to continue their Saturday night out. Promoter Krista describes the crowd as, "a mixture of minimalists, maximalists, club kids, glamour kitties, freaks, geeks, DJs, promoters and club owners but definitely no wronguns!"
The party kicks off in AKA at 5.30am. Raymundo Rodriguez, the DJ who never sleeps, is joined by a rotation of excellent guests (and a few surprises!) with regular live performances and parties such as DDD, Familia and Electric Sex co-hosting.
As well as the music, it’s the extra touches that make Jaded what it is. Shots of espresso, tea and scones, 1970’s style tennis players playing an imaginary match, entertainment such as pillow fights and human roulette, a 1940’s style bus, complete with DJ, that delivers clubbers straight to the door and VIP hostess ‘Max with her Axe’ (don’t be afraid!) to name but a few. Jaded appreciate that if you are have the commitment to go clubbing on a Sunday morning, you deserve a little more than a few good tunes to reward you dedication.
Join the backlash against Sunday roast dinners – sleep is for the week!
