BBE has been one of the most exciting independent labels over the last 15 years - boasting some of the biggest names in soul, hip hop, house and disco from across the pond, as well as huge names from the UK. Jazzy Jeff, Pete Rock, Will.i.am, Roy Ayers, Keb Darge, Mr Thing, Vadim and Vikter Duplaix are just some of the luminaries to have been involved with this seminal label.
BBE are not only known for their hugely impressive catalogue and roster of artists, but their long history of top events across the capital and beyond. They’ve held iconic parties at venues including Canvas, The End, Cargo and Bar Rumba, and have now launched a residency at AKA. Taking place on the last Thursday of the month, the night showcases the best hip hop, funk and soulful music from their own dizzying array of talent, plus guests from other like minded labels such as Faith and Ibadan Records.
