It’s 10 years since the launch of our pioneering brother venue The End - and it’s time to start celebrating! Anyone who has been down to AKA on a Saturday night will have experienced AKA & The End in full effect, when the venues join together for ‘As One’ events presenting the best firing house sounds in AKA.
The rest of the time The End does rather nicely as an amazingly innovative venue showcasing cutting-edge electronic music of every kind. The End & AKA have been the scene of some major parties over the years and as The End reaches its momentous 10th year in 2005, there’s a lot to celebrate!
There’s a whirlwind of events on the way from AKA & The End, culminating in December 2005. It all kicks off with Exhibitionism, the party to launch The End’s 10th year celebrations, which we are hosting in AKA.
Exhibitionism - A Launch Party for The End's 10th Year
Exhibitionism will be a celebration of the pure entertainment, energy and escape of nights at The End. From its explosive launch in 1995, when it changed the face of clubbing with an uncompromising attitude, a state of the art interior, and a killer sound-system, to its position today as one of the world’s best-loved clubs delivering the finest music, The End is a true London landmark. Exhibitionism is the launch party that throws the doors wide open on The End’s 10th year celebrations.
At the launch limited edition memorabilia will be given out, and for the first time, The End’s programme of 10th year events will be revealed. There’s great news in store, so be among the first to hear it, and start celebrating, at the Exhibitionism launch party.
Key DJs from The End Mr C (Superfreq.), Ben Watt (Buzzin’ Fly), and Friendly (Chew The Fat!) take to the decks at this very special event. With main room DJs from The End on the decks in AKA Exhibitionism will be a full throttle launch for the 10th year celebrations. For all those who’ve experienced The End over the last 10 years, this is Exhibitionism, on the walls, on the decks and on the dance-floor!
Exhibitionism - A visual retrospective of 10 years at The End
At the launch party a stunning exhibition from The End will be unveiled. Celebrating the sights and sounds from 10 years at The End, it presents amazing large scale images that convey the passion, innovation and excitement of The End. This is a visual retrospective of The End’s illustrious history.
Images include those from seminal nights DTPM, Twice As Nice and Subterrain, through to current classics like Marky & Friends, All Night Long and Trash. The exhibition will also include several installations.
Exhibition runs at AKA from October 13th to November 26th, Thursday to Saturday from 6pm. Admission is free.
